apklausa statusas T sritis Politika apibrėžtis Seniausias ir labiausiai paplitęs pirminės empirinės informacijos rinkimo būdas. Patikimu tyrimo metodu pripažinta 20 a. 4 dešimtmetyje, kai buvo sukurtos patikimos respondentų atrankos metodikos. Išpopuliarėjo atsiradus kompiuterinei skaičiavimo technikai, leidusiai apdoroti didelius kiekius informacijos. Gali būti formalizuotos arba neformalizuotos. Formalizuotų apklausų atveju sudaromas tikslus klausimynas, kuriame suformuluoti klausimai ir dauguma galimų atsakymų, apklausiamieji prašomi tik pasirinkti atsakymo variantą. Neformalizuotoje apklausoje numatomos tik pokalbio temos, bet nėra tikslių klausimų formuluočių ir pateiktų atsakymo variantų. Respondentas, jų grupė gali atsakyti į klausimus raštu, palikus anketą užpildyti, tiesioginio interviu būdu, interviu telefonu. Dažniausiai rengiamos siekiant sužinoti žmonių nuomones, nuostatas, vertybines orientacijas. Ypač populiarios balsavusiųjų apklausos; jos dažnai atliekamos naudojant kompiuterius: CATI (angl. computer assisted telephone interviews), CAPI (angl. computer assisted personal interviews) ar internetu. Apklausos rezultatai apdorojami kompiuteriu ir analizuojami statistiškai. Metodui būdinga duomenų reprezentatyvumas ir tikslumas.
